Abstract
The authors introduce a autologous bone salvaging technique, that is utilizing bony spur and anterior lower part of upper vertebra as a bone donor site for anterior cervical interbody fusion without exploring the separate autogenous donor site. The bone chips taken from the anterior lower part of upper vertebra and bony spur could be filled into hollowed graft material. This simple technique is safe and effective to enhances bony fusion rates even in multilevel fusion.
