Abstract |
Multiple myeloma is a neoplastic plasma cell disorder. It develops multi organ dysfunction like bone pain, fracture, renal failure, susceptibility to infection, anemia and hypercalcemia. The spine is the most common affected site, because it has active bone marrow. It is more common in the elderly and rarely affects the young.
The authers report a rare case of rapidly progressive multiple myeloma involving whole spine in a young adult. |
