| | Manuscript invitation | | INTS-Neurospine Special Issue | Topic: Spinal Cord Injury | | Dear Colleagues: On behalf of the Editorial Board, we are very pleased to announce that Neurospine will publish a special issue on “Spinal Cord Injury” in collaboration with the International Neurotrauma Society (INTS, https://www.internationalneurotraumasociety.org). The target date for this special issue is April 2022. We are excited to partner with our colleagues at the INTS and around the world for an extraordinary collaboration featuring the latest clinical and research advances in spinal cord injury (SCI). Spinal cord injury (SCI) is one of the leading causes of long-term disability and death worldwide. Thus, new ideas and therapeutic targets are needed for the development of new and effective SCI treatments. This Special Issue focuses on molecular mechanisms, promising therapeutic targets, and advanced imaging. We welcome both original research and review articles. Potential topics include but are not limited to the following: - • Latest advances in pathobiology of SCI
- • Neuroprotection and molecular mechanisms following SCI
- • New therapeutic target for SCI
- • Update on neuroprotective and neuroregenerative therapies for SCI
- • Engineered neural stem cells for spinal cord injury repair and regeneration
- • Advances in regenerative therapies for SCI
- • Role and prospects of regenerative biomaterials in the repair of SCI
- • Role and timing of surgical intervention for acute spinal cord injury
- • Advanced microstructural MR imaging to assess the injured spinal cord
The leading editors for this issue include: Dr. Michael G. Fehlings (Canada), Dr. Alexander E. Ropper (USA), Inbo Han (Korea), Xiang Zeng (China), Sang Ryong Jeon (Korea). The guest editors for this issue include: Dr. Sanjay S. Dhall (USA), Rex AW Marco (USA), Jared S. Fridley (USA), Khoi D. Than (USA), Daniel J. Hoh (USA), James D. Guest (USA), Yuan-huan Ma (China), Ying Ding (China), Xue Yao (China), Fei Huang (China). The executive editors for this issue include: Dr. Kyung Tae Kim, (Korea), Dr. Seil Sohn (Korea), Dr. Choong-Hyo Kim (Korea), Jeong Yun Park (Korea) The editorial team members for this special issue are comprised of expert, world-leading SCI researchers, who will help to ensure that articles published in this special issue will provide balanced views and evidence-based knowledge to our readers.
